We are happy to present you a new 18-hole golf course satisfying all international standards. This idea matured for a long time and only in 2007 a necessary property was formed in Kamorunai village near Leipalingis, 19 kilometres away from Druskininkai.
A name Wolf golf course to a this course was prompted by nature – a ditch Vilke (Wolf in english) is crossing the course. The project was designed by a Swedish architect and the building and construction work is already in progress supervised by an experienced American shaper. The course occupies 65 ha area, the game distance will be over 6 km, a part of course stretches into the forest.
It is the first Scottish-style (inland- links) golf course in Lithuania by the Swedish architect Johan Benestam. According to the project, the particular focus is put on nature – it is exclusively natural all over the course, thanks to a fabulous Dzukija landscape. In terms of a game, it is not going to be an easy course.
No matter that the course is still under construction, the Wolf golf club is open and memberships is already available, you can choose from personal, family and corporate membership. A number of members will be limited and will not exceed 100, in spite of that, Wolf golf course will be open to every golf player and general public.
We are planning to build a clubhouse with a restaurant, golf shop, changing rooms and rooms for storing golf inventory.
Since golf is step by step gaining popularity in Lithuania, a special attention will be paid to children. A golf school for children will be established. Professional golf coaches will provide the beginners with basic rules and teach them how to play, while the intermediate players will improve their skills.
The opening of Vilke golf course is planned at the end of summer in 2011.
